- Why hire a magician?
- Hiring a magician can have many advantages for all types of events. It many creates a talking point among your guests, at weddings, gala dinners etc everyone may not know each other. Using magic can diffuse any tension and break the ice for the rest of the night.
- Weddings can be expensive - The bride and groom often spend thousands on dresses, cars, cakes, venues etc. but how many of the guests will remember these details among all the other weddings your guests may attend. By hiring a magician you can make your wedding more memorable and one your guests will be talking about for years to come.
- A good experienced magician will work with your venue to ensure any expected delays are covered seamlessly. Magic can be used for filling in the quieter moments of the day such as photo sessions or after the wedding breakfast before the evening party starts
- How much do you charge?
- Pricing is based on the needs and specifics of each event e.g. travel time to and from the event, fuel costs, length of time required for the booking. As a general rule Simon charges between £250 and £650. Please discuss your booking with Simon and he will give you the best price.

- Payment can be made by Bank transfer, Credit or debit card, PayPal or Cash
- Do you require a deposit?
- Yes. - Dates do book up in advance so to ensure bookings are secured, a deposit of £50 is required to hold the date. This is non refundable as it prevents other clients from booking the same slot. If there are any amendments to your event e.g. change of date, time or venue then please contact Simon as soon as possible and he will try and accommodate where possible. Once the deposit is paid the remaining balance is due on the day of the performance or before if preferred.
- What happens if I need to cancel the booking?
- Unforeseen circumstances do occur. If for what ever reason you need to cancel or amend a confirmed booking please contact Simon at the first opportunity. In most cases subject to availability you can change the date, times, venue, duration of the booking with no penalty.
- In the event of a complete cancellation the deposit paid is non refundable. If the booking is cancelled 2 weeks before the event then 50% of total booking fee is payable within 28 days of cancellation. If cancelled within 3 whole days of the event then the full fee is due.
- What kind of environment is best suited to magic?
- Weather - it is impossible to entertain in the rain or adverse weather conditions. If you are planning an outdoor event please ensure you have a wet weather alternative. Some windy weather may be acceptable but card tricks in a gale is going to end in tears!
- Noisy/dark Environment - Magic needs to be seen and heard to be believed. It may not be best to book a magician during the height of the disco. There must also be adequate lighting so your guests can witness the miracles performed for them.
- Personal Safety - Simon will not perform if the venue is regarded as unsafe. it is the event organiser's responsibility to ensure safety of performers and guests
- Accessibility and Timings- Please advise Simon if the venue is difficult to access for example distance from car park to performance area. Also if there are any time restrictions in arriving or leaving the venue. This may increase the price if Simon is unable to leave after his performance time or needs to arrive well in advance of the start time.
- Do you perform on trains, boats, and other vehicles
- Yes. - Simon has performed on steam trains, Boats, river cruises and canal boats. Please note that you will need to book for the duration of the journey.
- Are you insured?
- Yes - Simon has full public Liability insurance through Equity to the value of £10 million.
